NEARLY (2015)

installation for any number of live performers

written for the 2015 Omaha Under the Radar Festival

nearly consists of a series of fifty-two cards, each containing a short verbal instruction for performing am 8-note mantra (i.e. "nearly inaudible," "nearly in tune," "nearly identical to someone across the room," etc.) -- each performer may create a sequence of these cards and realize them independently of (or in conjunction with) any number of other performers.
